Author Fun
This past Saturday night during the Katonah Art Walk, we hosted seven of the most amazing folks and offered signings of their books, casual chats, and community time here at the Reading Room. We were inspired by their stories, eager to read their books, and inspired by each of their journeys to come to writing. I just have to say how lucky we are to be part of this community where authors are plentiful, interesting stories abound, and people take the time to get to know each other. Customers left with signed copies and a renewed interest in reading, and with smiles on their faces from feeling a part of something bigger. The town is alive with art and literature and just the best community around. A huge thanks to the Katonah Chamber, the Katonah Art Walk and the Katonah Village Improvement Society for ALWAYS coming together to make events and life in our little corner just the most amazing experience for all ages. If you are looking to get involved in the community, reach out to these orgs and ask what you can do — there is always something fun happening and extra hands are always welcome. Lucky lucky us. In the meantime, if you weren’t able to attend the event, consider this your “to be read” list and come grab a copy.
