Do Remember

Join us December 10th from 2-3:30pm for a chat about Hip Hop, writing, and musical legends with author Daniel Isenberg signing his books, “Do Remember! The Golden Era of NYC Hip-Hop Mixtapes” and his children’s book “My Name Is Spit: The Dunk Dance”. Daniel Isenberg is an award-winning creative director who has spent the past decade working on both the agency and brand side of the sports and entertainment marketing business. He has led projects for Mastercard, Budweiser, BMW, Taco Bell, JBL, Topps, DICK’S Sporting Goods, Bank of America, Caesars Sportsbook, and many more.
In addition to his career in marketing, Daniel is a published author and music journalist. He got his start covering legendary and underground hip-hop acts for media outlets like Complex, Pitchfork, and XXL Magazine. His first book, an illustrated children’s chapter book about hip-hop and basketball titled My Name Is Spit: The Dunk Dance, was independently released in 2019. And his new book Do Remember! The Golden Era of NYC Hip-Hop Mixtapes is out now via Rizzoli.
But Daniel doesn’t only write about music—he’s also a GRAMMY-nominated rap artist who has performed everywhere from Madison Square Garden to the Greek Theatre, as well as live on Hot 97 and Shade 45. He’s featured on two Matisyahu albums, and his two most recent solo projects were celebrated on Bandcamp’s coveted Best Hip-Hop list.
When he’s not working on a new ad campaign or focused on music, Daniel loves spending time in Northern Westchester where he lives with his wife and four children. He's also an adjunct professor at the NYU School of Professional Studies, where he teaches a grad school marketing course once a week.
