Celebrate music and community with us March 22 from 1-3pm with a music chat and experience with Alyssa and Peter Reit. Chat about their experiences in music in NYC with the Phantom of the Opera, at the Met and more. Suggested donation $25 will go to the Community Center of Northern Westchester.

“Pete was an original member of the Broadway pit orchestra for Phantom of the Opera; he also was acting assistant horn at the Met Opera for five years, played principal horn for over 30 years in the Westchester Philharmonic, Greenwich Symphony and Scandia Symphony orchestras, toured with the Bob Belden Jazz Ensemble, and performed all over the U.S. as a member of the Eastern Brass Quintet. Alyssa is a composer, arranger, harpist, and storyteller whose works include numerous theatrical-musical settings of myths, classic stories, and fairy tales, as well as solo, chamber, and orchestral compositions that have been played all over the world. She recently completed a full-length musical, and is currently writing a ballet based on H.C. Andersen's "The Snow Queen."

Amidst a presentation of musical duets, Pete will bring us stories and humorous anecdotes from his 32 year-tenure at Phantom and extremely varied career. The duo will also entertain questions about their colorful experience in the New York City music world.

The event is being held to raise funds for The Community Center of Northern Westchester.”
