“Hildy’s Promise”
Join us for an author chat and book signing with local author and tennis coach Richard Finn on February 24th at 2pm.
Richard Finn is a lifelong resident of the area, attending White Plains High School where he was a standout tennis player, and graduating from Colgate University where he also played on the varsity team for four years. For more than 20 years Finn has lived in Goldens Bridge with his wife Andrea and their two grown daughters Stephanie and Jacqueline. He has spent his professional life in the sports industry.
A long and accomplished career as a sports journalist followed for many leading newspapers and news organizations, including USA Today, New York Times, Chicago Tribune and Associated Press, that has honed a crisp and clear writing style. Finn branched out into sports publicity working as the Public Relations Director for the hugely successful 1999 Women’s World soccer tournament and then for more than a decade at the New York City Marathon. Presently he is a tennis teaching professional at the Saw Mill Club in Mt. Kisco and conducting tennis and platform tennis programs for the Bedford-Katonah Recreational Department. He also coaches high school varsity tennis teams at Briarcliff (girls) and Horace Greeley (boys).
Started in 2020 as a pandemic shutdown project, “Hildy’s Promise” is his first full-length novel. Being a fan from childhood of suspense, thriller, crime novels and movies has inspired this tale of greed, murder and duplicity.
Event is free and open to walk-ins.
