Estate Planning

SEMINAR: ESTATE PLANNING FOR YOUNG FAMILIES, March 19, 12-1:30pm

Most people think of estate planning as the creation of a Last Will & Testament, but thoughtful estate planning can do so much more. In addition to the disposition of assets at death, a comprehensive estate plan contemplates important future health-care decisions, the continuity of control over financial assets, and can provide the mechanisms for gifting transactions during one’s life.

In this seminar, Michelle Pletka, Esq., a Katonah resident, will be explaining the importance and nuances of estate planning for families with minor children, with a focus on the documents that make up a typical estate plan and the relevant laws that impact the development of an estate plan.

In 2023, Michelle founded The Law Office of Michelle T. Pletka, PLLC, where she uses her experience and knowledge to assist individuals and families in creating wealth-transfer plans and estate plans that best fit their specific needs. Michelle began her legal career in 2006 as an associate attorney at Willkie Farr & Gallagher, LLP. In said role, she was a member of the firm's Private Clients Group, where she advised high-net-worth individuals on how to optimize their estate and transfer-tax planning goals.
