On April 8, we’re bringing together a few of these shop owners to give us a peek behind the curtain to understand what really goes into running a brick and mortar business – the unique challenges, opportunities and exciting moments!

An engaging evening for entrepreneurs, aspiring business owners or any women from the community who support these (or any) small business!

We got in the CUTEST little sticky note carrying case and notes. I love having sticky notes at meetings to sketch down my thoughts instead of being on my phone, and these carrying cases keep them from ending up wrinkled or crushed in my bag.

This month’s featured day trip? The NY Botanical Garden. The orchid show is ALWAYS one of my favorite annual trips but this year it’s even more gorgeous. The theme is Mexican Modernism and the colors are just beyond imagining. If you’re in need of a happy visit, a little sunshine, or a day of relaxation, head to the Bronx and get some indoor sunshine.

We had the most amazing event with author Fiona Davis this weekend talking about her newest release, The Stolen Queen. Fiona takes us to the Met gala, Egypt in the 1930s, and back, for a mystery, an insider’s view of the Met, and a great story full of fabulous characters. We enjoyed a full tea spread from Bread N Bakes at the Bedford Post and spent time with Booksy loving up our bookish people. Signed copies are available at the Reading Room now. Come grab yours.
