Feed Me Fresh MKCCC

I went over this week to meet with my friend Dawn Meyerski, Executive Director of Mount Kisco Child Care Center, to film a little clip about the TWENTIETH anniversary of their gala, Feed Me Fresh. I created the concept with a team of amazing volunteers, board members and staff of the center 20 years ago and we sat talking about all that goes into a gala, the financial strains of running a non-profit, the need for child care, the difficulties of paying staff salaries that match their talents, and so much more. We walked the halls of this fabulous organization and I was reminded once again what this place means to families - a safe and comfortable place where I watched children skipping in to get to their happy place, parents knowing they are dropping their children in a place where they are safe and nurtured and taught, a place where the staff are valued and supported. The kids were playing and cheering each other on the playground during a field day race, they were discussing putting broccoli and vegetables on the pizzas that they were making for their own lunches, they were playing outside in a beautiful courtyard. If you don’t know about Mount Kisco Child Care Center, find out about it, if you want to support diversity in our town and fantastic child care for all, attend the Feed Me Fresh gala in September or just donate. It’s wonderful and special and such an important place in our community. Find out more here, https://mkccc.org/events/feedmefresh/
