Mandolin Morning
Join us to enjoy Robert DiYanni’s mandolin stories and music. August 15 from 12-2pm. Robert is a professor, teaching for 50+ years at a number of universities, including Pace, Harvard, and NYU. He has been writing and editing books for 40 years, most recently “You Are What You Read” (Princeton University Press). And even more importantly, Robert has been playing mandolin and guitar for more than 60 years--an amateur player, a true lover of both instruments. Both instruments have accompanied Robert on trips to Europe and Asia, where he has played for conference attendees and for restaurant patrons, as well as on one occasion in a major European concert hall. Robert enjoys sharing his love of these instruments and love of music and through small performances and through writing, including a memoir in progress-- “Living with Music.”
