Do Your Thing
Do Your Thing: a chat about vintage and following your passion! - with Nicole Mata of This and That Vintage Frills. July 20, 12-2pm in the Speakeasy.
Since opening its doors on Instagram in 2019, This & That Vintage quickly became recognized for its curated, unique assortment of fun vintage clothing and accessories.
This & That Vintage is a passion of owner Nicole Mata’s. Nicole felt the rising demand for unique, reasonably-priced vintage & designer items, and sources to bridge the gap between couture gowns and rock t-shirts. T&T aims to keep merchandise both aspirational and affordable, and focuses on keeping customers happy. T&T is a resource for designers, stylists, costume enthusiasts, and fashion insiders looking to draw design inspiration. Visitors to T&T come from across the US and around the world.
Nicole’s love of Vintage Clothing began in her Grandmother’s (Nana’s) attic. She would spend hours playing with the racks and racks of garment bags. Each one she opened, solidifying her LOVE of clothing. Attending The Fashion Institute of Technology and pursuing a career in the Fashion Industry. Though Nicole loved the modern fashions, they just weren’t as intriguing as Vintage. Leaving the fashion industry Nicole opened Delamata Designs an Event Design & Planning Company. This is where her passion soared until Covid hit the world and all her events were canceled. Not being one to sit with idle hands, Nicole decided to pivot and delve back into the Vintage Fashion love affair she had as a child. There is nothing more invigorating than the thrill of the hunt and spot hidden gems. She loves to give these finds a new life through updated, modern styling.
We focus on Designer and Vintage items that have a unique cut, details, print, or style; All items date from 90’s and earlier. Located at 792 Route 35 Cross River, NY in the Charming Yellow Monkey Village.
