Fall weekend treats
Not to panic anyone, but this is the last weekend for Maple soft serve. Come in Saturday and Sunday for your last licks (lol) before we switch back to chocolate. Soft serve never ends though, so don’t fret. And peppermint will be here soon. Also available, our new Apple Pie Rolls. I can’t explain, just try them. Beyond delicious. Happy Halloweekend folks!
Author Visit: Melissa Pyrch
Join us this Sunday, October 30th from 12-2pm for a book signing with Melissa Pyrch, author of “Beyond the Bell. 12 Lessons for Navigating Your Life After High School.” Melissa will be at the Reading Room and happy to answer your questions and sign copies of her book.

The much anticipated “21 Hit Wonder, Flopping My Way to the Top of the Charts” by Sam Hollander releases Tuesday. If you haven’t gotten a seat to the event of the season with Sam at the Bedford Playhouse, you can still grab a copy for yourself by ordering ahead with us at 914.334.8019.

Our next Book Club book is “Sign Here” and we will be discussing the title on November 30th at 7pm. Book club is held upstairs at the Reading Room in our cozy private space. Be sure to check out the newest exhibit at the Katonah Museum of Art featuring our favorite kind of art — BOOK ILLUSTRATIONS! We will be carrying some of the titles featured by Jerry Pinkney during the show, so grab a copy for the kiddos and then take them to the museum to see the art up close.
Author Fun
This past Saturday night during the Katonah Art Walk, we hosted seven of the most amazing folks and offered signings of their books, casual chats, and community time here at the Reading Room. We were inspired by their stories, eager to read their books, and inspired by each of their journeys to come to writing.
Beyond the Bell

Holiday Volunteers!
Every year Katonah jumps into the Holidays in a BIG way. We have music and parades and decorations and special events and fun fun fun. We welcome you to come meet some of our favorite people who help put these events together and hear how you can get involved. Commitments vary from very small amounts of time to bigger depending on your interest and availability. If you ever want to volunteer and spend time working to make our town the best one around, come by this Wednesday around 4:45pm at the Reading Room and get involved!
