Kittentits

If you like sassy ten year olds who hang out with ex-cons and ghosts and talk shit with the best of them, this one’s for you. Foul mouthed and full of piss and vinegar, Molly sets out to bring her dead mother’s ghost back to visit her. What ensues is a coming of age novel unlike any other. Full of slights, 1990s slang, and period teen put downs that you’d never utter now, you almost forget how far we’ve come as you guilty giggle just a bit as her naughty mouth slashes out at every part of the world.

Not 1 Drop

If you’ve been reading the news about PFAs - a forever chemical - you know that the last thing anyone wants is to introduce more into our waterways and environment. The Lake George Association, of which Pete is currently acting Board Chair and Executive Director (long story but yes, both at the moment), has been fighting the Park Commission who wants to put a chemical in the lake called ProcellaCOR, which contains PFAs, and is not proven for use in a lake like Lake George. Please help his campaign to convince Governor Hochul to stop the use of the chemical. Spread the word, post this graphic, write to the governor here. If you’ve ever been to this Queen of lakes you know it’s worth saving every single drop.

The Paris Novel

“As a bookseller I could never keep all the great books I read. The Paris Novel will find a place on the shelf between Julia Child’s “ Mastering the Art of French Cooking” and Tamil Adler’s “The Everlasting Meal”. As I read this I wanted to cook with saffron, read James Baldwin, and wear a designer dress to an art museum. As with any good novel set in France there is lots of wine, stinky cheese, a love interest and even a rat. Bon Appetite!”
